PENANG: Sept 18 was a day for many events in the Church of the Immaculate Conception (IC). Migrant Sunday, Catechetical Sunday as well as the Parish BEC Family Day was celebrated. There was breakfast for all after the 8.30am Mass animated by Zone 11.

Under the theme, Catching the Faith, 350 children, pre-school to form four, from the Catechism Ministry had out door activities and their own potluck. According to the Organiser, Lillian Cheah, catechism need not always be taught in the class.

To commemorate the day, she made the children play outdoor games where they can “catch” the faith. She added that this gathering was to foster better relationship among students and their formators and parents.

Parish priest Fr Michael Cheah reminded us to take advantage of this joyful day of community spirit and harmonious fellowship to invite those parishioners who had never attended any BEC gatherings to come and join in the day’s events and become members. — By Marie Lim
