Dear Editor,
Taiping Catholic Church goes userfriendly to all our parishioners who are aged and feeble. Our Parish Priest Fr Jude Miranda built a ramp to ease our physically impaired parishioners to join us in Our Eucharistic celebrations. He mentioned that, during his home visits, he found that many are keen to come to church for Mass. Hence he built the ramp, especially as Taiping parishioners are mainly senior citizens.

The first thing he did when he first came in Oct 2010, was to provide cushioned kneelers in the two churches and the Aulong chapel.

We are indeed very blessed to have such a caring priest...he came up with our parish thrust “Care - Cherish, - Affirm, - Respect, - Empower”. All these attributes have been carried out during his six years as our parish priest.

He is one priest who not only sees to our physical needs but also to our spiritual growth. Recently, he built a shrine in honour of Our Lady of Fatima in our Pokok Assam Chapel (being the 100th Anniversary of Our Lady) so that the faithful can pray and meditate at the shrine.

Now he is in the midst of completing a multi-purpose hall which is the pride of the Taiping Catholic Church.

We thank God for Fr Jude’s special gift and we pray that the Holy Spirit will empower him to build God’s kingdom here in Taiping.
