Diocesan formandi – aspirants and IY seminarians – held their Easter gathering by the Mandalipau River recently.

On 17-19 Apr 2017, 21 aspirants and nine seminarians went for Easter camping at Kg Mandalipau Papar. With them were Father Wilfred Atin and Father Rayner Bisius, directors of the Aspirant Formation House and IY Formation House respectively. This year they were joined by Father Thomas Madanan, assistant priest of St Joseph Papar.

The campsite is located by the river of Kg Mandalipau, an ideal place for them to have a break from the daily routine in their formation journey.

They also spent some time with the parishioners of St Dominic Chapel in the same village with the celebration of Mass and a fellowship meal afterwards.

The catechist of that chapel said that this was the first time they were able to celebrate Easter with Mass in their chapel. He thanked both directors for selecting their village as their recreational location this year.

Other activities included visits to several families living near the campsite and also a concelebrated Mass by the river by the three priests.
