For 42 Koreans, mainly youths and ten adults, it was a memorable day to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation from their own Bishop at the Chapel of Our Lady of Good Health (OLGH) on Divine Mercy Sunday, April 3.

For their parents, it was a joy to witness their children becoming ‘mature’ Catholics and receiving the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Korean bishop, Most Rev Lucas Kim presided at the Confirmation Mass, concelebrated with visiting Korean priest, Fr Hong Kisun, from the Chuncheon Diocese, and locally based Fr Daniel Moon of the Korean Catholic Community in Kuala Lumpur.

After the celebration, the Confirmands, together with the Bishop and the clergy, posed for a group photo. All then adjourned for a brunch fellowship in the chapel’s grounds. Bishop Lucas Kim also paid a courtesy call upon Kuala Lumpur Archbishop Julian Leow and Penang Bishop Sebastian Francis, during his visit to Malaysia.

Bishop Kim also visited the St Francis Xavier Home for The Elderly in Cheras.
