Wilson Savage (pic) is a new member of the Youth Ministry of Melaka-Johor diocese. He belongs to the parish of St Peter’s in Melaka. He comes from the Portuguese Settlement, Melaka where he served as a catechist. He was once an Altar Server who then became their advisor. He then became part of the multimedia team and also a choir member. He found joy in serving his parish.

“Proverbs 16: 3 ‘Commit your work to the Lord and all your plans will be established.’ This Bible verse really moved me and I became more committed to all the work that I did. Though I do not know what plans God has for me, I find my assurance in Jeremiah 29:11 ‘For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future’. I believe I will find greater joy being a Youth Minister now.,” says Wilson

His first goal on being a Youth Minister is to build God’s kingdom among the youths by planting the seed of reading the Bible and making it a daily habit or, if not, at least weekly.

“As I begin my new journey being a youth minister, I humbly ask you to keep me in your prayers, that I will play my role best as salt of the earth and light of the world to the young people of the Melaka-Johor Diocese.” said Wilson
