The youths of the Church of the Holy Trinity organised the Keep In Touch Always (KITA) programme on April 27, 2014. The objectives of the programme were as follows:

--create awareness about life on campus
--challenges to be faced
--provide a forum to deepen their Catholic faith
--share skills and knowledge on the rights and responsibilities as a Catholic student

About 40 participants took part in the programme; some are still studying in secondary school, Form 5 leavers, students from institutions of higher learning and concerned parents who are keen to know what their children are facing at this time. The programme was conducted by a facilitator who had attended a Training of Trainers (TOT) that was organized by the Student Body of the Diocese of Sandakan.

The programme began with an opening prayer followed by the introduction of the session.

There were four sessions that were arranged as follows: The reality of compus life, Deepening their Catholic faith, Rights & Responsibilities and Looking Ahead. There were also a few graduates who had completed their studies, who shared their faith journey with the participants.

Throughout the day’s session, all the participants cooperated and listened to the advice that was given to them. Group discussions were held and highlighted perceptions of life on campus.

After the session What To Look Forward, an evaluation form was given out. It is hoped that through such sessions organized through KITA will help the participants to prepare themselves, mentally, physically and most importantly spiritually when they have to leave home either to further their studies or to start work.
