Brothers of Mercy celebrate 160 years

The congregation of the Brothers of Mercy, which was founded by the Blessed Bro Peter Friedhofen in Trier, Germany, celebrated their 160 years Jubilee Celebration recently on Feb 25, 2010 at Hospital Fatimah, Ipoh. The brothers began their ministry in Ipoh in 1953 providing medical services to the locals at Kampung Simee.

Montfort Boys Town turns 51

Montfort Boys Town (MBT) situated in Jalan Montfort in Batu Tiga is the biggest charitable institution in Malaysia. This year MBT turns 51 years old. It was established in 1959 by the Brothers of St Gabriel (SG) for the care and development of underprivileged youth, as a welfare and vocational training centre.

Celebrating Fr Joseph Hung’s 85th birthday

“I feel I am only fifty,” he joked, when someone asked if there were enough candles to make 85 at his birthday and religious anniversary dinner bash organised by the parish and held at the Pay Fong School Hall on Feb 25.

Soosaipillai, registered themselves by filling up the Donor Pledge Registration Form and Organ Donor Card, to donate their body parts after death for the purpose of transplantation.
