Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin today congratulated the frontliners who have been working hard to control the Covid-19 outbreak in the country.

In a Facebook post today, Muhyiddin has also voiced his pride over the level of cooperation displayed by Malaysians in complying with the standard operating procedures (SOP) set by the Health Ministry.

“Alhamdulillah, for the first time yesterday we recorded the lowest number of daily new cases with only one case, which was imported, with no local transmissions recorded among Malaysians and foreigners.”

He said the gradually decreasing number of new Covid-19 cases in the country to single-digits has proven that the public are aware of the impact of Covid-19 and are strictly complying with the SOP.

The prime minister however cautioned against complacency.

“Yes, this positive development has surely made us excited and proud.

“However, do not feel too comfortable otherwise all efforts to stem the Covid-19 outbreak will be in vain.”

He also reminded Malaysians to stay vigilant, take precautionary measures, and comply with the SOP at all times.

“During this Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO) phase, we are all the frontliners.

“We all have the responsibility of protecting our family, community and country from Covid-19.

“InsyaAllah (God willing), with the cooperation and commitment of all Malaysians, we will be successful in fighting Covid-19.

“I’m proud of all of you. I’m proud the be Malaysian. #kitarakyatMalaysia #proudtobeMalaysian,” he wrote.--The New Sarwak
