SELAYANG : When it comes to honouring one’s father, every day is a good day. At Christ the King (CTK) chapel, the Catechetical Team wanted to show their appreciation and gratitude to all fathers by making this Father’s Day a memorable one.

In his homily, parish priest Fr Albet Arokiasamy, reiterated the importance of the role of fathers in the lives of their children. He quoted that even from the beginning, God commanded Adam, “By the sweat of your brow, you will eat your food” (Genesis 3:19). And with that command, the journey of fathers to provide food for their family began.

The Catechist also prepared a slide show presentation depicting verses from the bible accompanied by photographs of fathers of CTK. Fr Albet than preceeded to bless all fathers present. After the blessing, the children presented a gift each for all fathers.

The celebration ended with the presenting of a Father’s Day card and gift to our dearest priest, Fr Albet Arokiasamy.

He is and will always be our shepherd, guiding this community to greater heights.
