KUALA LUMPUR : Twenty-four children from the Church of the Holy Rosary (HRC) received First Holy Communion during the month of October.

On Oct 18, 13 children received the Sacrament during the Eucharistic Celebration in Mandarin while 11 others received it during the English Eucharistic Celebration on Oct 25.

Msgr Daniel Lim, the parish priest, in his homily spoke about the Bread of Life where Jesus is truly present and the importance of making preparation before coming to Mass. He also commended parents for sending their children to the Sunday school and thanked the catechists for ensuring that the candidates were well prepared.

The children, dressed in white to signify purity, were presented with their certificates by Msgr Lim after Mass in Dewan John Hsiong, where a brunch fellowship was held for the candidates, their parents and teachers. — By Bernard Anthony

Christ is present in the tabernacle, and having the door of the tabernacle open or closed does not make any difference. His logic seems to be: that the parishioners should be taught to pray and adore the Blessed Sacrament all the time and that the practice of exposition in the monstrance is irrelevant and counterproductive to any real devotion. Your thoughts, please. -- J.L., Cumberland County, New Jersey.
