Para Uskup rayu synod berdialog dengan kaum Islam

Benedict XVI meets with Irish Bishops

TENOM: Tahun 2010 merupakan perayaan Ulangtahun Emas bagi Santo Penaung Gereja Sto Anthony iaitu Santo Anthony dari Padua. Pada tahun ini juga, paroki St Anthony bakal dikunjungi ribuan umat Keuskupan Keningau kerana ia menjadi tuan rumah Ulangtahun Keuskupan Keningau kali ke-17.

Dua perayaan besar ini akan dirayakan serentak yang dijangka akan diraikan pada Mei 8, 2010. Patung St Anthony dari Padua ini akan dibawa dari KUK ke KUK sehinggalah pada bulan Mei nanti. Gereja St Veronica Paguokon adalah stasi pertama yang menerima kunjungan patung St Anthony pada Jan 15 lalu. Pada Jan 10 yang lalu, paroki St Anthony terlebih dahulu telah melancarkan sambutan Jubli Emas dan Ulangtahun Keuskupan Keningau ke-17.

Sementara patung ini berada di stasi-stasi yang terpilih, diadakan katekesiskatekesis pendalaman iman khususnya mengenai perjalanan hidup paderi yang dimartabatkan sebagai Santo iaitu St Anthony dari Padua. Umat akan mengenali dan mempelajari akan ketabahan, dedikasi, keberanian serta cintakasih St Anthony terhadap Firman Tuhan dan Kristus. — Simon Mamat
