Tiga diakon untuk Keuskupan Agung Kota Kinabalu

KOTA KINABALU: “Bantu tiga Diakon ini di dalam pelayanan, bukan memanjakan mereka,” demikian pesanan Uskup Agung John Lee semasa upacara pentahbisan tiga diakon di Katedral Hati Kudus pada Dis 5 yang lepas.

Tiga Diakon baru yang akan melangkah ke jabatan kepaderian ialah Sunny Chung (Papar), Mattheus Luta (Penampang) dan Wiandigool Runsab (Tuaran) mempunyai laporan kerohanian akademik yang memuaskan serta prestasi yang membanggakan.

Uskup Agung di dalam khutbah beliau menyarankan kepada ketiga-tiga Diakon tersebut untuk mencontohi Yesus di dalam pelayanan dan sentiasa memohon pertolongan Roh Kudus.

"Tanpa cintakasih kepada Tuhan ia adalah sia-sia. Oleh itu wartakanlah Sabda-Nya, cari dan pimpinlah mereka yang sesat...” ucap Uskup Agung.

Selepas upacara pentahbisan, Diakon Mattheus Luta mewakili dua orang rakannya menyampaikan ucapan jutaan terima kasih kepada Tuhan dan umat.

Uskup Agung juga tidak lupa memberikan penghargaan kepada keluarga ketiga-tiga Diakon tersebut kerana merelakan anak mereka untuk melayani di ladang Tuhan.

Selesai Misa Kudus, umat bersama-sama dengan tiga Diakon baru, para paderi dan Uskup Agung beredar ke Dewan untuk acara selanjutnya. —Roger A.S & Patrick Ben
