The Church of St Anthony is the oldest church in Teluk Intan. It has faithfully served the Catholic community for 125 years and celebrated its feastday on June 16.

The main theme was Baptised And Sent. Fr John Gnanapiragasam from Cameron Highlands and Fr Rayan Innas Muthu from Penang College General were the celebrants.

In order for a Church to go on mission, we must not only be Baptised, confirmed and sent but rather be chosen, Baptised, confirmed and sent.

We began our Novena at Pentecost and ended with the feast of the Most Holy Trinity. Most of us were baptised as babies based on the faith of our parents. As we grew from “cradle” Catholics to matured Catholics through confirmation, we were given three-fold (Trinitarian) duties of priest, (prayerful), prophet (messenger or proclaimer) and king or shepherd (service). Before we are sent on mission, we are called to holiness by

-- Intimacy with God
-- Communion with community
-- Solidarity with humankind

To be holy is to have Passion for Christ and compassion for others.
