In view of the MKN SOP on the CMCO dated 11th of November 2020, His Grace, Most Rev Julian Leow D.D., the Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur, decrees the following with effect from Nov 13, 2020.

1.0 Public Masses in Pahang and Terengganu At the discretion of the Parish Priest or Administrator, the celebration of public Masses may resume in the parishes located within the states of Pahang and Terengganu, subject to compliance with the MKN SOP and other guidelines issued by the state or local authorities in areas which do not fall in a red zone.

2.0 Suspension of Public Masses in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Negeri Sembilan As the majority of districts falling within these states and territory remain red and due to the heavy commuter traffic between districts which increases risks of transmission, public Masses remain suspended until further notice.

3.0 Funerals Parishes are allowed to celebrate funeral Masses/ services in the church/ chapel/ Mass centre provided that the number of attendees (including priest and ministers) should not exceed 30 persons (or 20 persons in areas located within a red zone). All guests should be pre-registered and other requirements under the MKN SOP and Archdiocesan Guidelines are to be strictly complied with.

4.0 Weddings At the discretion of the Parish Priest or Administrator, wedding Masses/services may be conducted in churches/ chapels/ Mass centres provided that the number of attendees (including priest and ministers) does not exceed 30 persons (or 20 persons in areas located within a red zone). All guests should be pre-registered and other requirements under the MKN SOP and Archdiocesan Guidelines are to be strictly complied with.

5.0 The Archdiocesan Crisis Management Task Force continues to monitor the development of this pandemic and will be providing periodic updates and review of our guidelines in relation to changing situations on the ground.
