KUALA LUMPUR: The youths from the Sacred Heart of Jesus, also known as the Heartbeat, recently had their camp facilitated by the ‘Kasih Ministry.’

Some 40 youths from the various language groups attended the three-day camp which was held from November 17-19.

The session began on a Friday night with ice-breakers, followed by group sharing and concluded with a ‘Praise and Worship’ session. Participants enjoyed the short Day 1 programme singing, praising and glorifying the Lord.

On Saturday, participants started their day with the topics Father’s Love and Jesus is Lord. In this grace-filled moment, participants bonded through the sharing in groups. They had fun working together in the exciting games organised by the parish youth committee. In this session, the youths were made to focus on what they were being asked to do by the Lord Jesus. During this time, the participants were led in an inner healing session to let go of their pain, guilt and burdens.

On the last day of the camp, the youths invited the Holy Spirit to fan-into-flames His fire in their life and committed themselves to boldly live for Him from here on. They also received His courage to continue to face the struggles that lie before them with the assurance that the Holy Spirit would come to their aid.

The participants of the camp have decided to continue to bond and grow deeper in faith and simply continue to call on each other in running-this-race of moving towards Jesus.

The participants were enlightened by the sessions and it was indeed a life turning point for the Heartbeat youths of the Sacred Heart Church. All of them are looking forward to growing together as a body and community of working and campus youth.
