The second season of Cast the Net on the Net online forum by the Institute for New Evangelization (INE) saw young people taking centre stage in sharing their faith stories.

More than 50 participants entered the Zoom platform on May 27 for the sharing sessions moderated by Daryl Tan, and to also engage with speakers on various issues faced by the youth.

Aaron Lim, who hails from City Parish, Penang, shared on how he was encouraged and called to serve in the various ministries of the parish from a tender age.

“We serve because we want to proclaim the greatness of God, to thank God for all His blessings and to allow Him to use our lives as his messengers of hope,” he said.

Lim also shared that serving in church is a great platform for young people to equip themselves with leadership skills which will help them in their future career.

“In fulfilling God’s will in our lives, we must put Him as the aim of our mission; seek first His Kingdom and everything  will fall into place,” he said.

“When a door closes, God opens more doors; and the MCO has become a blessing in disguise and a new turning point for us,” shared Paul Julianose from the Seeds Music Ministry.

Paul shared that the group had been using social media to conduct the Grounded Seeds Podcast, live worship with testimony sharing and song covers.

“We cannot give what we do not have, so our service to God must always flow from prayer as we keep this relationship  with God through our prayers,” he said.

Paul also added the word trajectory which serves to remind all to shift the direction so that persons transform from being gift-oriented to being focused on God as the giver of all graces.

He also hoped that this Pentecost will see a new infilling of the Holy Spirit to allow persons to rediscover their talents, discern what is worthwhile in the time they have, and to deepen their love towards God – the greatest treasure which lives in us.

The online forum will continue for three Wednesdays until June 17. Interested participants can sign up via Google Forms at:
