On Sept 18, the youths of the parish of Christ the King organised a treasure hunt for all the parishioners. It started off at 11.00am with all the participants gathered in church. The weather was sunny and bright. After registration, lunch was served and a light warm up session was conducted prior to the hunt.

There were nine teams of five, comprising of people from all walks of life and ages. The hunt began at 12 noon. There were ten hotspots that needed to be conquered. Participants were required to drive around each location to obtain their clues as well perform the tasks given by the marshals. It was not easy as participants were required to dance, sing, do squats, wash cars, etc, and they had to do it all in public! It was indeed hilarious but they took it in good sportsmanship.

The last clue took the participants to Batu Caves KTM station where they had to take the train to Taman Wahyu KTM station. There, participants were required to complete a jigsaw puzzle which was also a clue to their last stop, which was at church.

We learnt and experienced team work and the spirit of togetherness. It was also a great experience to get to know the hidden talents of many of us. We did not miss the opportunity to have fun within our teams and with our competitors too.

The event was a great success. The Youth Ministry delivered above and beyond expectations, and proved that the future of our Church is in good hands.

At the end of the day, despite the aches and pains, we are proud to give glory to Christ our King!
