Banns of Ordination to the Diaconate Bro Jonathan Andrew Rao A/L James

Upon recommendation of the seminary formators and having consulted the members of the College of Consultors, His Grace Most Reverend Julian Leow D.D., the Archbishop of Kuala Lumpur, intends to call Bro Jonathan Andrew Rao A/L James to the Order of Deacon on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 10.30am at the Church of St Jude, Rawang, Selangor.

Bro. Jonathan Andrew hails from the Church of St Francis Assisi, Cheras, Selangor. He completed his ecclesiastical studies in philosophy at the College General Major Seminary, Penang (2017- 2018) and then in theology at St Peter’s College, Kuching (2020-2024).

Bro Jonathan Rao will begin his pastoral posting at the Church of St Jude, Rawang, Selangor on June 1, 2024.

In accordance with Canon Law, this is a public announcement requirement (CIC 1051 §2). Catholics are obliged to reveal any impediment or circumstances that would prevent the above candidate from receiving Sacred Orders (CIC 1043). Kindly contact your parish priest or the Chancery or the Archbishop with such information as soon as possible.
