GENTING HIGHLAND: The annual camp for the University, College and working youths from Terengganu was recently held at  Villa Dominic.

The camp called the ‘JCamp’, simply means ‘Jesus Christ Amplifiers, J is also for Prophet Jeremiah, as he represents ‘a young man being called to do the Lord’s will, the acronym being Jcamp.

The topics reflected upon were Malaysian Realities, Call to Priesthood, Religious Life, Call and Life of Jeremiah. The Youths experienced Silence, Eucharist and Reflection on the Word of God.

This annual camp gives the youths serious moments of prayer and reflection, which helps them to be ‘missionaries’ in their situation.

This is my first camp. I am happy that I was able to share my faith with other youths. The talks helped me to realize that the problems in Sabah and Sarawak are bigger than what I know from the newspapers. -- Alfonso Hulon

The Taize prayer was mesmerising. It helped me to understand prayer better. I want to give more time now for prayer, reading the Word and the Eucharist. — Stanley James The Camp helped me to reflect deeper the meaning of my existence, that I am here for a purpose, that I can develop the ‘Calling’ to serve humanity. -- Elizabeth Witty
