First Bible knowledge is a subject in SPM, and it is crucial for parents to encourage their children to take up the subject in order to help them to be rooted in the Word.

Students from churches under the KL Archdiocese and students from Stella Maris Secondary School who were taking Bible Knowledge as an SPM subject attended a Bible Knowledge camp on 25 November. The camp was coordinated by the KL Archdiocesan SPM Bible Knowledge (BK) teachers. The chief coordinator for the SPM Bible Knowledge is Mr. Anthony Gnanapragasam.

The students checked in at around 2.00pm and had a briefing on the activities that were going to take place. For the next four days, the students from Forms 3 and 4 spent their time studying the Gospel of Luke and Acts of the Apostles. Every evening, the students recited the rosary. Every morning, they recited the Divine Office and attend Mass at St. Anthony's church nearby. All 24 chapters of the Gospel of Luke and 28 chapters of Acts of the Apostles were completed within the four days. The students were taught with much dedication by Mr. Anthony himself, Dr. Irene Leow, Mr. Robert Teh, Ms. Sofia and Mrs. Stella Vincent.

There were also games for the enjoyment of both the coordinators and the students. Movies on the Gospel of Luke and Acts of the Apostles were shown as well to give students an overall picture of what the books were all about. On the last day of the camp, the students and coordinators gathered in the chapel for the Divine Mercy prayer at 12pm. When the prayer was over, everyone had lunch and went to pack their belongings. After saying their goodbyes, the students left at 1pm. All that can be said is that the students left the camp with better knowledge of the subject and a deeper love for the Word.
