Caritas Malaysia announces new board of directors

Caritas Malaysia is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Board Members, who will serve for a term of two years effective January 1, 2025. This renewal of leadership marks a significant moment in our collective journey to advance the social mission of the Church in Malaysia, rooted in the values of love, compassion, and justice.

On behalf of Caritas Malaysia, I extend heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing Board Members for their dedicated service, wisdom, and contributions during their term. Their efforts have been instrumental in fostering a Church that walks with the poor, uplifts the marginalised, and seeks to transform society in the spirit of the Gospel.

The newly appointed Board Members are:

• Ms Anne Lasimbang
• Dr Francis Loh
• Fr Alvin Ng
• Ms Joyce Wong
• Mr Joachim Xavier
• Ms Sarah Chou

These individuals bring a wealth of experience, insight, and passion for service to their roles. With fresh perspectives and renewed energy, they are committed to deepening collaboration, strengthening programmes, and responding to emerging challenges, including climate change, migration, and the cry of the poor.

As we move forward, Caritas Malaysia remains steadfast in its mission to embody the Gospel call to love and serve. We invite all faithful and collaborators to join us in prayerful support for the new Board Members and to continue journeying with us in this mission of hope and solidarity.

We take this opportunity to once again thank the outgoing Board Members for their invaluable contributions and to warmly welcome the new Board Members as they embark on this sacred responsibility.
