Certs to be given for Teacher’s Course

KUALA LUMPUR (Herald Malaysia): For the first time, participants of the SPM Bible Knowledge Teachers’ Course will be issued certificates provided they fulfill the following conditions:

(a) 100 per cent attendance at the course.
(b) answer all five questions on the Gospel of Luke.
(c) answer all five questions on the Acts of the Apostles.
(d) conduct practical teaching/ take part in a presentation.
(e) answer two model questions papers — one on the Gospel of Luke and one on the Acts of the Apostles.

The SPM Bible Knowledge (BK) Teacher’s Course which will be held over two weekends as follows: July 4-6 on the Gospel of Luke and Aug 1-3 on the Acts of the Apostles.

The participants will report on the Friday at 6.00pm and depart on the Sunday at 4.00pm. This is a stay-in course (twin-sharing) and the cost for both is RM300. This will be at the Archdiocesan Pastoral Centre, No 5, Jalan Robertson. It is imperative that participants read both books before attending the course.

It is hoped that all aspiring teachers both in the Archdiocese and elsewhere will take advantage of the programme. The closing date is Monday June 30.

This programme will be from 9.00am till 5.00pm and will cover both books. The cost is RM30 for the seminar and Trial Exam. Participants are to submit full name, Mycard number together with the fee before July 10.

The SPM trial exam will be held on Saturday Sept 6 from 10.00am till 12.30pm. Candidates should report half an hour before the exam begins.

A new feature at this examination is that each parish should send a teacher to supervise the exam and take their own papers back for marking.

All cheques/cash for the above three events should be written out to KUALA LUMPUR BIBLE APOSTOLATE and should reach Cathedral of St John, No 5, Jalan Bukit Nanas, 50250 KL by July 10, 2014.
