PUTRAJAYA: The movement control order will be implemented in six districts in Selangor from May 6-17, says Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Senior Minister said interstate and inter-district travel will not be allowed.

The affected districts are Hulu Langat, Petaling, Gombak, Klang, Kuala Langat and Sepang.

In a press conference on Tuesday (May 4), he said economic activities are still allowed in these districts, while social activities are not permitted.

“Food premises such as restaurants, food trucks, hawkers and kiosks are allowed to operate from 6am to midnight only.

Dine-ins are not allowed.

“Sundry shops and convenience stores as well as pharmacies would be allowed to operate from 6am to 10pm.

“Petrol stations will be allowed to operate from 6am to 10pm except those on the highway which can operate for 24 hours.

“Hospitals, clinics and medical labs will operate as usual.

“Daily markets, farmer markets, public markets and weekend markets will be allowed to operate between 6am and 2pm,” said Ismail Sabri.

He also said Ramadan bazaars will still be allowed to operate under strict SOPs.

“The decision to continue or close the bazaars will be left to the state authorities through the local authorities,” said Ismail Sabri.

The other districts still under the conditional MCO are Kuala Selangor, Sabak Bernam and Hulu Selangor.––The Star
