Covid-19: Six new clusters identified, with four in Sabah

A total of six new Covid-19 clusters have been reported in the country on Tuesday (Oct 13), with four of them in Sabah, says Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

A total of six new Covid-19 clusters have been reported in the country on Tuesday (Oct 13), with four of them in Sabah, says Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

The Health director-general said that one cluster each was discovered in Penang and Selangor.The Semarak and Sabindo clusters in Tawau, Sabah, have detected 14 new positive cases each, with a number of individuals still awaiting their results.

The Bina cluster in Beaufort, Sabah, has identified 14 positive cases while 45 have tested negative for the disease.

 

A total of 19 individuals have been detected in the Bestari cluster in Sandakan while 26 individuals are still awaiting their results.

Dr Noor Hisham also said that 18 individuals have been detected with the disease in the Bah Kenangan cluster in Hulu Langat, Selangor, with the index case having returned from Sabah on Oct 2.

Another five people are still awaiting their test results while 15 have tested negative.

Dr Noor Hisham added that three individuals have been detected with the disease in the Penjara Jawi cluster in Penang, with all them not showing any symptoms.

Of the 226 individuals screened for the disease, 61 have tested negative while 162 are still awaiting their results.––The Star
