SYDNEY: Odette Ghabach, 24, said staff members at St Brendan’s Catholic Primary School in Bankstown in Sydney’s West were surprised to see her return for her first full-time appointment as a teacher in charge of Year 6 students. But for the Bankstown resident, it felt like she had never left.

“It’s been really fun seeing some of the people who used to teach me and now, they’re still here and I’m teaching here,” Miss Ghabach said.

“They’ve been really supportive. They remember me, they remember my brother and my sister, we all went here, so the first day I walked in they were all really shocked.

“Now I’m working with them and they’ve been fantastic.”-- Catholic Resources
