A total of 46 students from Blessed Sacrament Church (BSC) 2021 Online Sunday School (English session), received their Sacrament of Confirmation at the Confirmation Masses celebrated by Fr Patrick Heng on December 12 and 19, 2021, respectively.

The confirmands, aged 16-17 years from Level 10, were divided into two batches of 26 and 20, in compliance with strict pandemic SOPs. Parish rector, Fr Patrick was granted the authority to administer the Sacrament of Confirmation by Archbishop Simon Poh, the Ordinary Minister of Confirmation.

He reminded the confirmands that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to them for their lifetime. These gifts would help them throughout their life’s journey and if they were receptive to the Holy Spirit, the gifts of wisdom and understanding, judgement, knowledge and others would always be there to help them. They, in turn, had to continue to pray to the Holy Spirit and also to pray for others in their lives. The Holy Spirit would strengthen their faith in the Lord Jesus and they would see a change in their lives. Fr Patrick advised them to always thank the Lord and to pray.

Many parents were grateful that their children managed to receive their Sacrament of Confirmation, especially those who had transferred from other parishes, because of the pandemic. --Today's Catholic
