KL Archdiocese offers certificated Bible courses

KUALA LUMPUR: The Kuala Lumpur Archdiocese Bible Apostolate conducts courses on the Gospel of St Luke and Acts of the Apostles. These courses are open to all dioceses, districts and parishes in the country. The minimum number of participants must be 10 and the maximum number should not be more than 25. These courses can be run over two weekends or for six days continuously.

It is imperative that participants read both books thoroughly before attending the course. The books required are the Gospel of Luke – RM15.00, Acts of the Apostles – RM15.00, and the exam guide – RM 5.00. All these books can be purchased from St John’s Cathedral, No. 5 Jalan Bukit Nanas, 50250 Kuala Lumpur. (Tel No. 03-20781876) or email: [email protected]. Postage will be charged.

To qualify for a certificate issued by the Kuala Lumpur Archdiocese Bible Apostolate, a student should satisfy:

a) more than 90 per cent attendance at the course,
b) complete five test papers on the Gospel of Luke (open book),
c) complete five test papers on the Acts of the Apostles (open book),
d) pass the micro teaching
e) complete two model test papers on Luke and Acts

This course is ideal for Catechism teachers, RCIA facilitators, those who work in various ministries in the church and parents. Please note that these courses are for adults only. Only requests from clergy will be entertained.
