KUCHING:
About 128 legionaries from various English Curia and Praesidia in Kuching, Padawan, Bau and Serian congregated at the Legionaries Recollection 2022 on 31 August 2022 at the Mater Domini Auditorium, ACCPC Kuching.

Spiritual Director Fr Nicholas Ng enlightened delegates with two inspiring talks about ‘Discipleship’: one about Mother Mary’s Vocation to Discipleship that Legionaries are called to emulate with grace and compassion; and the other on the Ecclesial Discipleship that the Church fervently professes in—Jesus calls us to discipleship and the Church is a community of disciples, People of God.

Legionaries were reminded that the Legion of Mary is a lay organisation that plays a vital role in the life and mission of the Church through not only rendering its duties of prayers, comfort and support for the sick, the vulnerable, the bereaved and needy.

Fr Nicholas also elaborated on Synodality and the important role of Legionaries in embracing and advocating ‘Communion, Participation and Mission’ by promoting unity among members and the community, actively participate in the life, growth and mission of the Church such as involvement in the recent pastoral assemblies of respective parishes and church programmes.

The Recollection concluded with confession and Mass.
