IPOH: The Lenten Campaign 2023 for the Diocese of Penang was launched on February 11.
Caritas Penang Chairman, Fr Joachim Robert, shared insights on this year’s Lenten Campaign, before Bishop Sebastian officially launched the theme by unveiling the banners.
Bishop Sebastian also presented a mock cheque of RM145,000 to the Caritas representative from the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Stephen Arokiam, who received it on behalf of the 29 parishes. This special fund of RM5,000 is given to every parish in the Penang Diocese to promote and support Kempen Kasih, an initiative in the area of welfare and integral human development.
