Mother’s Day is always celebrated on the second Sunday in May and this year it fell on May 10. Archbishop Julian Leow, after the Confirmation Mass at the Church of St Anthony on May 10, gave a special blessing to all mothers.

During the Prayer of the Faithful, the prelate prayed for all mothers present and those who had passed away.

“Mothers reflect the sacrificial love in their lives and reminds us of the love of God,” and wished all mothers a Happy Mother’s Day.

In all the parishes in the archdiocese, mothers were honoured and recognized for their sacrifices and love towards their children. It is a day for us to remember our mothers in a special way — for all the wonderful things they do for us every day of our lives. —
