Narchaithi Panikulu celebrates 20th anniversary

Twenty years ago, Sr Lourdes Mary IJS formed a programme for girls after SPM at St Teresa Church.

The programme started with only nine girls. It has grown and the group’s name was changed to Narchaiti Panikulu.

It provided good guidelines for the girls from the 1st batch till the 6th batch to help them prepare for life’s journey.

This first step in our lives give us knowledge to serve in church, improve our prayer life, guide our family, and learn to be independent.

On Nov 8 & 9, there was a reunion to celebrate the anniversary. The group thanked Fr Cyril Mannayagam, Bro Joseph Savarimuthu and Thomas Arulnathan for their help and Sr Lourdes for making this programme a success.
