Archbishop John Wong released a communique dated May 12, informing the clergy, religious and laity of the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu that, with effect from May 22, there would be no more live streaming of Masses in parishes.

Giving the reason that the government has relaxed SOP for places of worship in view of the nation entering into the endemic phase of the COVID- 19, the prelate underlined that all must return to attend Mass physically, as in pre pandemic times.

He also confirmed that the latest SOP allowed full capacity for our churches and chapels. However, he advised that the use of face masks continues to be a requirement. He prayed that with the return to physical Mass attendance, a greater communion and fellowship would be fostered in our communities.--Catholic Sabah
