KUALA LUMPUR: In today’s rapidly changing world, strong, faith-driven leadership within the Church community is essential to addressing the challenges faced by youth. Recognising this need, the youth leaders of the Church of Our Lady of Fatima (OLF) recently took part in a two-day formation. Organised with the support of the Seeds Ministry, the event aimed to inspire and guide these leaders on their spiritual journey.
This formation was both a chance to deepen personal faith and a call to action — an opportunity to equip themselves with the spiritual and practical tools necessary to effectively serve their peers and community. Participants were reminded of their vital role within the church and the broader community, entrusted with the responsibility of guiding and supporting others on their spiritual journeys. The event also offered them a moment to reflect on their roles, strengthen their relationship with God, and draw from the wisdom and experience of the Seeds Ministry.
As young leaders, they were challenged to grow both in their faith and in their commitment to engaging with and uplifting others. The formation featured inspiring talks, interactive workshops, and communal prayers, all rooted in the teachings of Christ.
Central to this formation were the vibrant praise and worship sessions that filled each day with energy and spirit. These moments of collective worship went beyond singing, as participants united in their voices and opened their hearts to God’s presence. The Seeds Ministry’s heartfelt and passionate approach to praise and worship inspired participants to fully embrace their spirituality and experience the joy of worshiping together.
Reflecting on the transformative two-day formation event, it’s clear that the experience was much more than a series of sessions and activities. The guidance provided by the Seeds Ministry has left a lasting impact on the OLF youth leaders. They emerged with renewed faith, a deeper sense of purpose, and a strengthened commitment to their roles within the church community. The powerful insights gained and the bonds formed during the event will serve as a strong foundation for their future endeavours. As they move forward, they carry with them the lessons learned and the spirit of unity fostered over these two days, ready to apply their newfound knowledge and enthusiasm to their ministry. The growth they experienced will continue to inspire and guide them in their mission.
