VATICAN: Pope Francis visited Rome’s parish for Polish residents on May 4 and offered a Mass of thanksgiving for St. John Paul II’s canonization.

Noting that St. John Paul had made over 80 visits to the Church of St. Stanislaus, Pope Francis said that “the Polish people know that to enter into glory one must go through the Passion and the Cross.”

“St. John Paul II, as a worthy son of his earthly homeland, followed this way,” Pope Francis continued. “And we? Are we prepared to follow this path?”--CWN
