Singapore Archdiocese urges faithful to ‘form groups’ to attend Papal Mass

SINGAPORE: “Registrations thus far show many prefer to ballot for individual tickets, thinking they can later sit together with their friends or family during the Mass. This is untrue,” said Catholic News, the official newspaper of the Archdiocese of Singapore.

The newspaper announced that those who want to attend the Papal Mass “should register now and form your groups as soon as possible”.

The registration for the Papal Mass will close on July 31, 2024, and there will be no extension, it added.

The archdiocese said balloting as a group allows the attendees to sit with friends and family at the Mass because those who are allotted tickets as a group will be assigned seats next to each other.

“We encourage Catholics to form groups with their non-Catholic friends and bring them to the Mass,” the archdiocese said.

Groups can comprise between two to six people. Anyone can form their own group or join an existing group in myCatholicSG. Details on how to do this can be found at www.popefrancis2024.sg/processballot/--licas.news
