SMC to host session on the Prodigal Son

IPOH (Herald Malaysia): The Church of St Michael (SMC) will be hosting the Prodigal Son Retreat conducted by Dr Jeffrey Goh, Jan 31-Feb 1, 2015.

This spiritual retreat is open to all parishes, and everyone is encouraged to attend.

The retreat is a spiritual journey, with sacred time spent in a sacred space where one takes leave from the usual daily routine. After each session, prayer time and reflection will help the participants encounter Christ.

The programme begins with a briefing by SMC’s parish priest Fr Stephen Liew or Dr Jeffrey Goh. Dr Goh will talk on the Younger Son.

The session on the Elder Son will be presented by Fr Liew.

On Saturday evening, there will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Confession.

On Sunday, the day will begin with Mass, and a session on the Father given by Mrs Angie Goh and Dr Jeffrey Goh.

A second talk on the Father will be given by Dr Jeffrey.

After lunch there will be a briefing on the service of the cross and resurrection by Dr Jeffrey and a Sunday afternoon service on the cross and resurrection by Fr Liew.
