STM conducts PRE for 62 participants

The Church of St Thomas More (STM) successfully conducted PRE 3.0 recently.

Participants from St Thomas More, Subang Jaya and Christ the Light Desa Jaya, were fully engaged in a soul searching experience: sharing, praying, discerning, and listening intently to Parish Priest Fr Simon LaBrooy who conducted the two-and-a-half day session together with nine presenters from Church of St Ignatius, Petaling Jaya and St Thomas More. Fr Albert Arokiasamy, Parish Priest of Christ the Light and Fr Augustine Lee, Asst. Parish Priest, St Thomas More and Sr Christine Ho, a canossian nun also participated.

Fr Simon LaBrooy was very pleased with the response of his parishioners, both participants and volunteers which made the Parish Renewal Experience (PRE) so rewarding for all. The next PRE 4.0 is planned for late November 2014, added Fr LaBrooy with much enthusiasm.

I was a volunteer at the secretariat, and I had the opportunity to observe the other areas of service provided by the organizing committee from St Thomas More Church. For instance, the venue for all meals was turned into a 5 star restaurant with F & B services executed by Raymond Chong, also a parishioner of STM. The ambience further enhanced the enjoyment of all present. Everything went like clockwork.

Other areas of service for these 62 participants were overwhelming too: the secretariat, the liturgical team, the technical team and the prayer team who were at the beck and call of the presenters. Most importantly, the joy of serving for the greater glory of GOD was an enriching experience for all.
