Fresh off their empowering Leadership Camp, the youths of Christ the Light Chapel organized the first Taize session of the year after the Sunset Mass on Palm Sunday, March 28.

Entitled A Night of Prayer, the youth of Christ the Light Chapel invited the community to come together to spend time with the Lord in a session that was illuminated by the light of Christ. The night was tailored around the concept of Taize where it is a sung and silent participatory prayer session, designed to achieve a contemplative state through music, song and silence.

The night was filled with reflection and prayer as many parishioners and visitors from nearby parishes turned up with family members and friends. The solemn and meaningful session received much positive feedback from the attendees who said that they felt Jesus’ presence amongst them.

With a positive number of parishioners and community members in attendance, the “Night of Prayer” successfully pulled off its purpose of both bringing the community together as well as igniting a light within them in preparing for the Holy Week.
