Thank God for not letting me go

“I was uncertain about Christianity, faith and prayers.

“I was uncertain about Christianity, faith and prayers. I was supposed to receive the Sacrament of Baptism for the past few years. But there were just too many challenges and problems that stopped me from moving forward including my ability to walk. I am glad that I am now able to walk and to continue my faith journey with RCIA.

“In the past, it was very difficult for me to understand what the Bible says. It was difficult for me to concentrate when I prayed. I fell sick each time I wanted to draw closer to God. What I was going through I suspected could be spiritual warfare. I thank God that He has surrounded me with priestly people i.e. parishioners of the Church of the Good Shepherd, RCIA Facilitators and little Angels. They were there to teach, support, guide and encourage me to continue my walk in the journey of faith.

“I slowly began to understand more, and I felt myself drawing closer to God day after day. The Scrutinies in the weeks prior to Baptism, affirmated that God has always been there for me, keeping me warm in His arms. I began to feel the inner peace that God has granted. I was supposed to undergo a knee surgery during the RCIA programme but it was God’s grace that I’m able to walk this far in completing my lessons.

“Although I will soon be completing the RCIA programme, I’m starting another journey in the 33 Days to Morning Glory – A Do It Yourself Retreat. I truly thank God for His grace and for holding me so dear to His Heart and not letting me go.” -- Faustina Lee Kok Chan, Church of the Good Shepherd, Setapak
