The Minawo Zone (Keningau Parish) organised a seminar on Vocation, July 23. Sixty youth from Minawo Zone, Biah Zone and Magatang Zone participated in this seminar.

Seminarian Appolonius Yakis shared on the Meaning of Life and the Calling of Life. Next, Fr David Gasikol shared on the Call to be Religious. He emphasised the importance of walking together in serving our ministry.

Jika George, Chairman of Catholic Community St Joseph Minawo explained to the participants that they should focus and pray diligently so that their hearts and minds can discern and realise God’s calling for them.

The final sharing, Life and Future Choices by Nancy Nelly urge the youth to set a vision and utilise their talents for their future. The seminar continued with dinner with the Family of St Joseph. Appolonius said the opening prayer followed by a speech from the Youth Fiesta coordinator, Fevian Felix.

Jika also thanked the youth of Minawo Zone for the success of this seminar. Fr David expressed his gratitude to the people of St Joseph Minawo Catholic Community for their togetherness, and hoped that this relationship would continue and “one day the young people here will answer His call”.

The evening saw performances by the aspirants, lucky draw and special performance by the Minawo Catholic Life Apostolate Catholic Community (KHKK) as well as a video by the Minawo Youth Committee.
