In our success-oriented society, this festival is a needed reminder to recognise and rejoice at the beginning of God’s work in a person’s life rather than holding our applause for the accomplishments.

Because men’s communion with one another is rooted in that union with God, the Church is also the sacrament of the unity of the human race.

HERALD loses its first stringer

Percy D’Cruz, HERALD’s first stringer and a long-serving stringer of The Star’s Malacca bureau, passed away on March 9, 2017. Percy, 69, is believed to have been electrocuted at his home at Banda Hilir on Thursday evening.
