For the first time, the Liturgy Committee and Altar servers from St Peter Bundu Parish organised a three-day Camp Oct 21-23 for 138 Altar Servers who serve in the parishes of St Peter Bundu, St John Sipitang, St Catherine Inanam, Holy Family Telipok, Holy Rosary Limbahau, Good Shepherd Menggatal and some members of the parish of Kota Marudu.

The five objectives of the camp were:

1) to bring about a rebirth amongst the Altar Servers who are willing to serve the Lord,

2) to invoke a deeper love for service to the Lord,

3) to foster the spirit of brotherhood, not only in the Diocese of Keningau, but to extend the spirit of friendship through the other dioceses,

4) to ensure that the Altar Servers realize that the presence of the Kingdom of God is a gift given to them,

5) to strengthen the identity of the Altar Servers so that they will become the agents of change to speak about the Word of God with generous hearts.

Various activities were held throughout the three-day programme. The speakers were Fr Boniface, Fr Harry and Sr Diana fsic. The programme began with Holy Mass celebrated by Fr Boniface Kimson and concelebrated with Fr Harry Dorisoh.

Fr Ronnie Luni, Spiritual Advisor to the Diocese of Keningau, expressed his gratitude for the success of the camp. He also thanked Fr Boniface Kimsin, Parish Rector of St Peter Bundu for being the host of the programme and for the collaboration given by the parishes in the Archdiocese of Kota Kinabalu and St John Sipitang. He expressed his appreciation to all those involved, especially Ronnie Apin, the coordinator of the programme and his committee members.

The camp ended on October 23 2016 with the celebration of the Holy Eucharist when the Altar Servers received their mission from Fr Harry Dorisoh.
