Always pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance

KENINGAU: About 260 confirmands received the Sacrament of Confirmation on June 8 at the Cathedral of St Francis Xavier.

The Mass was celebrated by Bishop Cornelius Piong, with Fr David Richard Gasikol concelebrating.

The Sacrament of Confirmation is the one of most important sacraments in the Catholic Church. Every baptised person should receive the sacrament of Confirmation for, without Confirmation and Eucharist, Baptism remains incomplete.

“The Holy Spirit,” Bishop Piong reminded, “will guide you to be witnesses of Christ. The Holy Spirit makes the burden of life light, with its support and closeness, and gives us the capacity to carry our crosses,” he added.

The prelate concluded by giving the following invitation: to always pray to the Holy Spirit, embrace the power of the Holy Spirit and believe that the Holy Spirit will guide us. -- keningaudiocese. net
