Three new booklets were published this year by the Penang Diocesan Catechetical Commission (PDCC).

The titles of the three booklets are Anointing of the Sick — Sacrament of Healing, Joy of the Man on the Cross and Infant Baptism Catechesis — The Sacrament of Baptism.

Fr Mark Michael, who is the head of PDCC, said another new booklet is in the pipeline.

The purpose of these booklets is to help Catholics better understand the basic Christian mysteries expressed in the sacraments. For example, the Anointing of the Sick — Sacrament of Healing booklet has 48 pages, with topics ranging from History of the Sacrament of Anointing, Christianity on health and illness, Facing aging reality, the Canonical rites of Healing, to Pastoral Care in death, among the others.

The aim of the Infant Baptism Catechesis — The Sacrament of Baptism is to further clarify and assist couples preparing for their children’s baptism in a more in-depth and significant way.

The Joy of the Man on the Cross contains the Story of our Salvation, the various crosses encountered, namely the Natural Cross, the Christian Cross, the Cross for Sin, and the Mysterious Cross; Living our Salvation and Joy and Consolation found in the Cross.

Fr Mark, the parish priest of the Church of St John the Baptist has so far published 15 different booklets on different topics related to the sacraments of the Church.

The booklets are priced at RM5/- per copy and are available at the PDCC office and at Fr Mark’s parish in Sungai Siput.

I am very interested to purchase your sacramental booklets, all seven of them for my personal collection. I am a RCIA facilitator and the books greatly clears up some issues. I have in fact purchase 4 copies but miss the three books, marriage, annointing of the sick and priesthood. Please let me know how to purchase them on line if possible... Tq.
