Pope: Pray Rosary for Our Lady's intercession in wars enveloping world

This May, Pope Francis urges the faithful to pray the Rosary, as he entrusts to Mary, on the Feast of Our Lady of Pompeii, the wars and conflicts in the Holy Land, Ukraine and Myanmar.

Pope Francis entrusted to the Blessed Mother the various wars and conflicts around the world, and invited the faithful to rediscover the great value of praying the Rosary, toward the conclusion of his General Audience Wednesday in the Vatican.

He recalled that today, 8 May, Our Lady of the Rosary is celebrated, in this month of May, which is consecrated to the Blessed Mother.

Today, he reminded, the Church raises the prayer of supplication to Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii.

"I invite everyone," he insisted, "to invoke Mary's intercession, so that the Lord may grant peace to the whole world, especially to the dear and tormented Ukraine, Palestine, Israel, and Myanmar."

The Holy Father went on to entrust in a special way, young people, the sick, elderly and newlyweds present at the morning audience.
