SPM bible Knowledge quizzes

SANDAKAN: SMK Convent, under the Christian Student Movement Association, sent six students to participate in the 21st National SPM Bible Knowledge Oral Quiz and the 17th National Bible Knowledge Quiz held Aug 5 at SMK Assunta, Petaling Jaya.

The programme is organised by the Malaysian Christian Schools’ Council (MCSC) for all Christian students.

The main objective of this programme is :

1) prepare the students on how to answer Bible Knowledge questions correctly,

2) equip the students with confidence academically

3) bring awareness to students on the importance of Bible Knowledge as a subject

4) motivate the students in achieving excellent results in the SPM Bible Knowledge subject.

By participating in this programme, Christian students are equipped with the correct techniques to enable them to answer the questions more confidently. This collaboration also allows for them to foster better and closer relationships with others.

Programmes such as these need to be continued to stimulate students both intellectually and spiritually. It also enables students to learn more effective techniques to achieve excellent results in Bible Knowledge, thus encouraging other Christian students to take up this subject for their SPM. Parents should also be more supportive in urging their children to take up Bible Knowledge in schools and promote participation in these competitions.--By Jamini Francis and Rogena Sining
