Youth Commission goes on mission to Sukang
Two representatives from the Diocese Youth Commission Apostolate (DYCA) went on a pastoral visit to Paitan Mission at St Francis of Assisi Church November 15-17. Also joining them were two youths from St Mary’s Cathedral.

SUKANG, Sabah: Two representatives from the Diocese Youth Commission Apostolate (DYCA) went on a pastoral visit to Paitan Mission at St Francis of Assisi Church November 15-17. Also joining them were two youths from St Mary’s Cathedral.
This short visit was a way to get together, as well as to build friendship with the youths there. The DYCA also took the opportunity to share the spirit of Advent with them.
They began by introducing the history of Advent, followed by the description of colours and symbols used during the sea son of Advent. They hoped that the session would guide the youths through this season of Advent.
After the session, the youths gave their personal sharing. Most of them felt joy in serving the Lord. The programme ended with Taize prayer, joined by Fr Thomas Makajil.
This short visit brought them to understand the needs of the youth in the Diocese, especially the Paitan Mission youths to continue to work in tandem with the local needs and current situations. -- Newsupdatedospo.blogspot
