“Coming from a mixed parentage of different religious upbringing and life experiences with close Catholic friends, becoming one was inevitable in my life journey. I have pushed RCIA away for a couple of years and finally decided to join RCIA 2013 and seek for answers to all the questions in my head.
“As the RCIA journey began, I was touched by the commitment of the facilitators who sacrificed their personal time to educate and guide us. As weeks passed by, every class had HIM sending us a message to ponder over. But, it was even more challenging for me to attend the classes as I had to move to Singapore for a permanent posting midway through RCIA. I refused to stop RCIA classes and decided to continue because of the reward waiting at the end of this journey. In weathering the challenges and obstacles, travelling back every week from Singapore to Petaling Jaya, Selangor, I realized that HE always ensured all the obstacles were removed from my path including my travelling schedule for work.
“This journey has made me stronger, more calm and spiritual allowing me to embrace the faith more deeply and building a closer relationship with GOD. If you believe in HIM, and if you ALLOW HIM to guide you, HE will take you places! All in all, I am proud to become HIS follower as this is just the beginning of an eternal life long journey with HIM. I look forward to living a Christ-like life in his footsteps.” -- Sreedaran Chelvakumaran, Church of the Assumption, PJ
