Dear Editor,
When a COVID-19 lockdown hinders the missionary obligations of  many, there is one parish priest who remains steadfast to his calling and  is divinely inspired.

In conjunction with the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and  Blood of Christ, Fr Francis Xavier,  who is stationed in Perlis, remained  determined to serve the Lord and  His flock.

His seemingly simple solution  was by no measure an ordinary fulfilment.

While millions missed the physical side of the celebration of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and  Blood of Christ, which is usually  witnessed with a procession, this  small-town parish priest and shepherd decided to bring the Blessed  Sacrament to the doorstep of every  faithful.

Keeping strictly to the SOPs,  from 5.00pm to 7.00pm he had a  parishioner drive him around as  he carried the Blessed Sacrament  for veneration and blessings to the  doorstep of parishioners scattered  all over his parish.

In his own words, indeed this was  “a procession too long in (his) 37  plus years as a priest and never done  before”.  To God be the greater glory!
