CONDOLENCES ON THE PASSING OF POPE FRANCIS

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un
“Verily we belong to God, and to Him we shall return.”

We extend our heartfelt condolences on the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, a moral compass in a troubled world and a courageous voice for justice, mercy, and human dignity.

As Muslims and as all people who stand for justice and peace, we deeply admire his unwavering stance against the brutality and oppression being committed by the Israeli regime. Pope Francis spoke out fearlessly for the rights of the Palestinian people, condemned the violence inflicted upon civilians, and called for a just peace rooted in humanity and compassion.

Throughout his papacy, he chose the path of the oppressed — not the powerful. He stood in solidarity with the poor, the refugees, the displaced, and the victims of war. He challenged the global conscience, reminding the world that silence in the face of injustice is complicity.

Pope Francis also opened the doors of interfaith dialogue with sincerity and humility. He reminded us that across our religious traditions, we are united by the call to love, to serve, and to uphold the dignity of every human being.

We honor his life, his courage, and his legacy. May the seeds of justice and mercy that he planted continue to grow. May his efforts toward peace inspire generations to come.
